How is a quote calculated?
By document type, page or word count, language direction, the certification format required and the deadline. A written quote is issued before work starts so there is no variation later unless you change the scope.

We quote each job individually rather than publishing a fixed rate, because the work behind a NAATI-certified translation varies with the amount of text on the page, the document type, the language pair, the turnaround you need and how the file is delivered. Send legible scans by LINE, email or phone and you receive a written quote with a delivery date before any work starts. Government fees, legalisation fees and application fees are set by the relevant authority and are not part of our quote.
Certified translation is assessed per page of text to be rendered, not per sheet of paper. A birth certificate with a few lines and an academic transcript listing a hundred subjects sit on one page each but take very different amounts of work.
Standard-format civil records such as a house registration or ID card are quick to assess. Court judgments, powers of attorney, contracts and multi-month bank statements need extra terminology checking and table rebuilding.
Pairs with many credentialed translators in the required direction schedule faster. Directions with few credentialed practitioners carry queue limits that affect both the delivery date and the assessment.
A job in the normal queue and a job needed the same day consume different resources. Priority work means inserting into the queue and arranging a reviewer outside normal hours, so it is assessed separately from standard translation.
Family sets — marriage certificate, children's birth certificates and house registration — repeat the same names and places, so consistency can be checked in one pass. Sending the set together is normally assessed more favourably than sending each document in a separate round.
Full-page, sharp scans let work start immediately. Skewed or blurred photos, or images that cut off a seal, require a fresh file or extra interpretation time, which affects both scheduling and assessment.
Corrections caused by an error on our side are made at no charge. Changes originating with you — a replacement original, a different name spelling after completion, or extra pages — are partly new work and are assessed separately.
A digitally signed PDF is the standard format most Australian authorities accept online. A printed, wet-stamped copy sent by post adds production and shipping costs depending on the destination.
Capture all four edges and every seal, front and back where the reverse carries text. Legible scans avoid a second round of requests.
Department of Home Affairs, a university, a skills assessing body or a state agency — requirements differ, and the destination determines the format.
Give the date the document must be lodged so we can confirm whether the normal queue is enough or a priority slot is needed.
Send the exact spelling of names as printed in the passport so the translation matches your travel document across the whole set.
You get the assessment and a delivery date before anything begins. No work starts until you confirm in writing.

Because a single figure would be misleading. Two documents that look identical can differ several times over in text volume, terminology and turnaround. A written quote against your actual scans is more accurate than any published table.
Send the scans by LINE, email or phone with the receiving authority and your deadline. You receive a written quote with a delivery date, and nothing is charged until you confirm.
It is assessed per page of text to be rendered, adjusted for density and complexity. Sparse forms and dense transcripts are not equivalent even though both occupy one page.
No. Fees for issuing originals, for legalisation by the Department of Consular Affairs, for embassy certification and for visa or assessment applications are set by those authorities and paid to them, at the rates they publish at the time of lodgement.
Often yes, depending on the language pair and the current queue. Priority handling is assessed separately from standard translation because it involves rescheduling and out-of-hours review.
If the error is ours, we correct and reissue at no charge. If the spelling you supplied changes after delivery, the affected pages are re-done and assessed as partial new work.
Sets submitted together are assessed as one job, which is normally more favourable than lodging each document in a separate round, because names and places are verified once across the whole set.
Confirmation of the written quote comes first, then the work. Payment arrangements are set out in the quote itself — ask our staff by phone, LINE or email.

By document type, page or word count, language direction, the certification format required and the deadline. A written quote is issued before work starts so there is no variation later unless you change the scope.
Page count alone does not show density, handwriting, stamps or annexes. Sending clear scans lets us quote the real workload instead of a range you would have to renegotiate.
Corrections to names, dates or numbers that we mistranscribed are reissued at no charge. Changes caused by a new source document or a change of scope are quoted before we proceed.
Yes. Tell us the name, address and tax details to appear on the document at the time of ordering so the invoice matches your accounting records.
Priority handling depends on translator availability in your pair and is quoted separately. If a deadline is not achievable we say so rather than accept the job and miss it.
Because the assessment follows the amount of text and the complexity, not the sheet of paper. A one-page transcript listing a hundred subjects is many times the work of a one-page birth certificate even though both are one page.
No. Fees charged by Thai offices, by the Department of Consular Affairs, by an embassy or by an assessing authority are set by those bodies at their published rates and paid to them. Our quote covers our work only.
Legible scans of every page, the receiving authority, your deadline and the delivery format you need. With those four things the written quote and the delivery date are firm before any work begins.
