Service areas — available from anywhere in the world

Every service runs online, so location does not limit access. Steps that must be performed in front of an official — consular legalisation, or signing before a notary — remain separate steps carried out with the relevant office in that jurisdiction. Reviewed August 2026.

If you are in Australia

New South Wales — Sydney and surrounds

Student and skilled visa holders lodging further documents while a decision is pending, couples registering a marriage with the NSW registry, and applicants preparing a skills assessment.

Files can be sent at any hour. Our team works Thailand time (UTC+7), three to four hours behind Sydney depending on the season, so work sent early in the Sydney morning enters the same Thai working day.

Each state registry publishes its own translation formatting rules — read the state's document page before ordering.

Victoria — Melbourne and surrounds

International students, partner visa applicants, and people lodging with assessing authorities headquartered in Melbourne.

Most work is transcripts, degree certificates, household registration and relationship evidence. Delivery is a certified PDF signed by the translator, ready to upload to an online lodgement portal.

Queensland — Brisbane, Gold Coast, Cairns

Hospitality and tourism workers, skilled visa applicants, and families lodging civil registry documents.

We handle Thai government documents that must be legalised before use, and set out the correct order of steps up front so the translation does not have to be redone after certification.

Western Australia — Perth

Skilled workers in mining and construction, and applicants for occupational licensing.

Perth sits closest to Thailand time — one hour apart — so questions and answers usually complete within a single working day.

South Australia, ACT, Tasmania and the Northern Territory

State-nominated visa applicants and people lodging with federal agencies in Canberra.

Nomination programs differ by state. Send us the link to that state's requirements page and we will identify which of your documents are not in English and therefore need translating.

If you are in Thailand

Bangkok and the metropolitan region

Anyone dealing with the Department of Consular Affairs, embassies, or central government offices.

We work fully online, and also in person where the law requires a signature to be made in front of a Notarial Services Attorney.

Northern Thailand — Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang

Thai–foreign families, partner visa applicants, and retirees who need documents used across borders.

No trip to Bangkok is needed to place a translation order. Where a step must be lodged in person, we explain which branch office of the responsible agency can accept it.

Northeastern Thailand — Udon Thani, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Ubon Ratchathani

Partner and visitor visa applicants, whose core documents are household registration, marriage registration and status certificates.

Civil registry documents are issued by the local district office. We recommend obtaining a freshly certified copy before translating so the seal and date on the translation are current.

Southern and eastern Thailand — Phuket, Surat Thani, Songkhla, Chonburi, Rayong

People working in tourism and industry, and long-term foreign residents of Thailand.

We handle both Thai-issued documents and documents issued in the applicant's home country; the language pair is confirmed in writing before work starts.

If you are elsewhere

New Zealand

People living in New Zealand who are lodging with an Australian authority or assessing body.

The same online channel applies; originals do not normally need to cross a border.

United Kingdom and Europe

Holders of European-issued documents used in Australia, including sworn translations produced in civil-law countries.

A sworn translation issued in one country is not automatically accepted in Australia. We check first whether the set has to be reissued in the format Australian bodies expect.

Public documents from Apostille Convention parties may need an apostille first, depending on what the receiving body asks for.

Middle East — UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia

Skilled workers and professionals based in the region applying for Australian skilled visas or skills assessments.

Employment letters, experience certificates and payslips are the common set. We translate the complete document including every stamp and annotation.

Asia — Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Singapore, India, Vietnam

Students and workers holding documents issued across Asia.

Many source languages into English are supported. Where a pair has no NAATI certification, we set out the alternative format the receiving body accepts before work begins.

North America and elsewhere

Applicants outside the Asia–Pacific time zones who need translations for lodgement in Australia.

All communication is in writing, so scope, file format and delivery date are on record without scheduling an overnight call.

Frequently asked questions

Reviewed August 2026. Requirements change — confirm with the receiving authority before lodging.

I live outside Thailand and Australia. Can I still use the service?

Yes. The whole workflow is online: you send scans, we return a certified PDF by email or LINE. Location only matters for steps that must happen in front of an official — obtaining a fresh certified copy, consular legalisation, or signing before a notary — which are separate steps carried out with the relevant office in that jurisdiction.

I am already in Australia. Does a translation prepared overseas still work?

Home Affairs guidance treats translations made in Australia and translations made outside Australia differently: the former should be by a NAATI accredited translator, while the latter must show the translator's full name, address, telephone number and details of their qualifications and experience in the language concerned. Read the current wording on the authority's own page before lodging.

How does the time difference between Australia and Thailand affect turnaround?

Our team works Thailand time (UTC+7) — about three to four hours behind Sydney and Melbourne depending on daylight saving, and roughly one hour from Perth. Work sent early in the eastern Australian morning enters the same Thai working day. We confirm scope and delivery in writing so nothing waits on an overnight call.

Do Australian states apply the same translation rules?

Not entirely. Federal agencies apply one set of requirements, while state registries, assessing authorities and professional boards each publish their own. Work from the document checklist of the specific body you are lodging with, and send us that link so the format matches before we start.

My documents were issued in Europe and already have a sworn translation. Is that enough?

Possibly not. Australia does not operate a sworn translator system; the reference point for Australian bodies is NAATI certification, or the overseas-translation format above. Send the existing set and we will tell you whether it can be used as is or should be reissued.

Should an apostille be obtained before or after translation?

It depends on the receiving body. If it wants the apostille visible inside the translated set, the apostille goes on the original first and the whole set is translated afterwards. If only the document itself must be translated, the order can be reversed. Confirm the sequence first — reversing it usually means paying for a step twice.

I need Thai government documents but I live abroad. Do I have to travel to Thailand?

Not for the translation. Obtaining a freshly certified copy from the issuing district office, and consular legalisation at the Department of Consular Affairs, are steps performed in Thailand — but they can generally be handled by an authorised representative under that agency's own power-of-attorney rules. Check the required form before arranging it.

Which language pairs are covered outside Thai to English?

Many source languages into English are supported, because clients frequently hold documents issued outside Thailand but lodge them in Australia. Tell us the source language and the receiving body, and we confirm whether NAATI certification exists for that pair and, if not, which alternative format the authority accepts.

I work in the Middle East. How should employment documents be prepared?

Provide employment letters, contracts, payslips and salary transfer records where available, scanned in full including letterheads, stamps and signatures. Certified translations reproduce every element, and assessing authorities routinely cross-check dates, job titles and durations against each other.

Can printed, physically stamped copies be couriered internationally?

Yes, where the receiving body confirms it needs paper. Transit time depends on the courier and destination and is outside our control. Most Australian online lodgement channels already accept a certified PDF, so paper is usually optional.

Will a translation accepted in one state be accepted in another?

Usually the certification itself travels, but each body still sets its own rules on document age, file format and whether a certified copy of the original is required. Check the second body's requirements before reusing an existing set.

My family members are in different countries. How do we submit one document set?

Send everything into a single thread, noting the passport spelling for each document owner. We assemble one set, keep name spellings consistent across it, and return separate files per document so each can be uploaded to the correct field.

How do I pay from overseas?

International transfers and the online payment channels listed on your written quote are both supported. Sending and receiving bank charges follow the banks' own schedules and are outside our control. Every cost is set out in writing before work begins.

Can you advise on visa strategy for my country of residence?

No. Immigration assistance in Australia is regulated and we are not a registered migration agent (OMARA) or a legal practice. We prepare and certify translations and point you to the responsible authority's published requirements.
