Reviewed August 2026. Requirements change — confirm with the receiving authority before lodging.
I live outside Thailand and Australia. Can I still use the service?
Yes. The whole workflow is online: you send scans, we return a certified PDF by email or LINE. Location only matters for steps that must happen in front of an official — obtaining a fresh certified copy, consular legalisation, or signing before a notary — which are separate steps carried out with the relevant office in that jurisdiction.
I am already in Australia. Does a translation prepared overseas still work?
Home Affairs guidance treats translations made in Australia and translations made outside Australia differently: the former should be by a NAATI accredited translator, while the latter must show the translator's full name, address, telephone number and details of their qualifications and experience in the language concerned. Read the current wording on the authority's own page before lodging.

How does the time difference between Australia and Thailand affect turnaround?
Our team works Thailand time (UTC+7) — about three to four hours behind Sydney and Melbourne depending on daylight saving, and roughly one hour from Perth. Work sent early in the eastern Australian morning enters the same Thai working day. We confirm scope and delivery in writing so nothing waits on an overnight call.
Do Australian states apply the same translation rules?
Not entirely. Federal agencies apply one set of requirements, while state registries, assessing authorities and professional boards each publish their own. Work from the document checklist of the specific body you are lodging with, and send us that link so the format matches before we start.
My documents were issued in Europe and already have a sworn translation. Is that enough?
Possibly not. Australia does not operate a sworn translator system; the reference point for Australian bodies is NAATI certification, or the overseas-translation format above. Send the existing set and we will tell you whether it can be used as is or should be reissued.

Should an apostille be obtained before or after translation?
It depends on the receiving body. If it wants the apostille visible inside the translated set, the apostille goes on the original first and the whole set is translated afterwards. If only the document itself must be translated, the order can be reversed. Confirm the sequence first — reversing it usually means paying for a step twice.

I need Thai government documents but I live abroad. Do I have to travel to Thailand?
Not for the translation. Obtaining a freshly certified copy from the issuing district office, and consular legalisation at the Department of Consular Affairs, are steps performed in Thailand — but they can generally be handled by an authorised representative under that agency's own power-of-attorney rules. Check the required form before arranging it.

Which language pairs are covered outside Thai to English?
Many source languages into English are supported, because clients frequently hold documents issued outside Thailand but lodge them in Australia. Tell us the source language and the receiving body, and we confirm whether NAATI certification exists for that pair and, if not, which alternative format the authority accepts.

I work in the Middle East. How should employment documents be prepared?
Provide employment letters, contracts, payslips and salary transfer records where available, scanned in full including letterheads, stamps and signatures. Certified translations reproduce every element, and assessing authorities routinely cross-check dates, job titles and durations against each other.
Can printed, physically stamped copies be couriered internationally?
Yes, where the receiving body confirms it needs paper. Transit time depends on the courier and destination and is outside our control. Most Australian online lodgement channels already accept a certified PDF, so paper is usually optional.
Will a translation accepted in one state be accepted in another?
Usually the certification itself travels, but each body still sets its own rules on document age, file format and whether a certified copy of the original is required. Check the second body's requirements before reusing an existing set.
My family members are in different countries. How do we submit one document set?
Send everything into a single thread, noting the passport spelling for each document owner. We assemble one set, keep name spellings consistent across it, and return separate files per document so each can be uploaded to the correct field.
How do I pay from overseas?
International transfers and the online payment channels listed on your written quote are both supported. Sending and receiving bank charges follow the banks' own schedules and are outside our control. Every cost is set out in writing before work begins.
Can you advise on visa strategy for my country of residence?
No. Immigration assistance in Australia is regulated and we are not a registered migration agent (OMARA) or a legal practice. We prepare and certify translations and point you to the responsible authority's published requirements.
